One of our favorite Black-owned brands uses their following to raise awareness while Domestic Violence Awareness Month. For the whole month of October, Pear Nova, the fashion-conscious – vegan-friendly nail polish and care brand – donates part of every sale that goes to PearNova.com to help victims of domestic violence and their families.

The proceeds will be donated to Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence Inc. (BTSADV). BTSADV is a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping victims, survivors and families affected by domestic violence. In addition to donating to BTSADV, Pear Nova will also work with the Connections for Abused Women and their Children homeless shelter to donate essentials that are needed by women and their families affected by domestic violence.

For Pear Nova Founder Rachel James, domestic violence has played a significant role in her life, which is why she is committed to helping women cope with the problem. Her love sister and niece were murdered by their ex-boyfriend, so James slips into the shoes of many victims of domestic violence and understands the importance of raising awareness about this problem.

To donate important items to Connections for Missed Women and their Children, visit Amazon.com. For more information on Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence Inc. or to make a donation, visit https://www.breakthesilencedv.org.
