Arrested after breaking into downtown shops

From the Manassas Police Department: On August 15, 2021, the Manassas City Police Department began an investigation into several property crimes that occurred in the old town. During the night hours on August 15, an unidentified person entered The Things I Love at 9084 Center St and removed numerous valuables. That same night, items were stolen from a vehicle parked in the Candy Factory parking lot and a citizen reported an attempted break-in into an apartment on Block 9500 on Main Street. Other similar incidents occurred in the weeks that followed.

Numerous investigative leads were developed and one suspect was subsequently identified. On September 21, 2021, the suspect, who is a 26-year-old male resident of Manassas, was located and taken into custody. Manassas City Police would like to thank the many citizens and business owners who helped the investigation with information and video that led directly to the perpetrator’s arrest.

Arrested: 26-year-old, Rodriguez Hernandez, Erick. He is currently being held without a bond.

Charges: Burglary X4, Attempted Burglary, Unlawful Entry, Destruction of Property, Major Theft, Petty Theft X2, and Vehicle Theft.

Man arrested on Route 610 bridge

From the sheriff’s office in Stafford: 610 Bridge, 9/23, 5:37 pm Deputy RL Hubbard called in the area to request a incident. Upon arrival, the deputy found the suspect Austin Romagna, 25, from Stafford. The deputy recognized the Romagna from a previous disturbance in the Home2 Suites. Romagna spoke indistinctly and was unsteady on her feet. He was arrested for public drunkenness and held sobriety in Rappahannock Regional Prison.
