Dog swims in the Alexandria Pools

At the end of summer, treat your pooch to a swim in an Alexandria city public swimming pool. Friendly dogs of all sizes can swim in the Warwick Pool (3301 Landover St.) from 11 am to 2:45 pm on Saturday, September 18, and in the Old Town Pool (1609) on Sunday, September 19 from 11 am to 2:45 pm Cameron Street). Tickets are required for all dog handlers.

After the summer swimming season, dog swims offer dogs a chance to enjoy the city’s outdoor pools before they are drained and cleaned for the winter. Admission is free.

Tickets can be reserved online for your preferred location and time frame. Dog handlers must be at least 16 years old and are not allowed to go to the swimming pool with their dogs. Dogs need to be sociable. To enter the country, each dog must either have a current vaccination stamp or a current rabies certificate or veterinary certificate. The space in the pool area is limited to 50 people and 100 dogs at the same time.
