Fairfax officials set details to commemorate 9/11 | news / fairfax

The Fairfax County government will hold a 20th anniversary ceremony of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on Saturday, September 11, 2001 at 2 p.m. at Bailey’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department, 3601 Firehouse Lane in Falls Church, where many first responders sent to help in the Pentagon.

The ceremony is held in the afternoon to accommodate the Pentagon’s 9/11 ceremony and morning volunteer activities at the government center.

The public is encouraged to watch the ceremony online. It is televised on the Fairfax Government’s Channel 1016 (Cox) and Channel 16 (Verizon / Comcast) and is available on the county government website (www.fairfaxcounty.gov) and on Facebook.
