Foxtrot Market replaces Le Pain Quotidien in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Foxtrot Market, a corner market and coffee shop with delivery service, will replace Le Pain Quotidien in Old Town Alexandria.

The store at the intersection of King Street and Washington Street, 701 King Street, is expected to open later this year. A specific opening date has not yet been set, said a spokesman. Le Pain Quotidien has closed its location in the old town, but continues to operate various locations in the DC area.

Foxtrot has offices in Chicago and Dallas and has recently expanded into the DC region. The brand has DC locations in Mount Vernon Triangle and Georgetown, and another location opens in Dupont Circle. The Old Town Alexandria site will be the first in Virginia.

The Foxtrot Market is meant to be a place where customers can get coffee, staples, and wine from the pantry or sit down to eat. The market offers groceries and supplies, meals, alcoholic beverages, coffee, tea, pastries, cheese and charcuterie, and more. Foxtrot King & Washington will have an expanded selection of groceries, a charcuterie bar, homemade craft sandwiches and a full coffee bar with beans from local Vigilante Coffee. The location will have space for customers to relax, including seating on the mezzanine.
