Little child dies after a truck hits him in the Fairfax driveway

FAIRFAX, VA – A two-year-old boy died Monday night after being hit by a pickup truck in the driveway of his family home in Fairfax, the Fairfax County Police Department said.

At around 6.45pm Monday, Fairfax County police went to a house on the 10900 block of Roma Street in Fairfax. Police officers found the boy seriously injured upon arrival. Rescue workers later declared the boy dead at the scene.

Fairfax County detectives discovered the boy’s father drove his 2005 Ford F350 out of the driveway when he hit his son, the department said Tuesday.

Investigators from the Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash. But the department suspects no foul play. According to the police, alcohol also played no role.
