Obituary for Matthew Charlons (1987-2021) – Richmond, MO

Matthew Miles Charlons, 33, of Richmond, died at his home on Wednesday March 31, 2021.

Matthew was born on July 13, 1987 in Overland Park, KS, to Julio Charlons and Tracey Dawn Wheeler.

Survivors include: his father Julio (Trish) Charlons of Overland Park, KS; Stepfather Mark (Lori) Webb of Lexington; three brothers: Brandon Charlons and Jon (Alex) Charlons, both from Hardin, and Seth Webb from Lexington; Sister Lauryn Webb of Lexington; Stepsister, Paige (Brandon) Miller of Stillwell, KS; Maternal grandparents, John R. (Judy) Wheeler of Hardin; Paternal grandmother, Arminda Charlons of Overland Park, KS; and seven nephews and nieces: Alaina Charlons, Lakelyn Webb, Roman Charlons, Cash Webb, Mason Charlons, Remi Webb, and Maisy Miller.

Before him, his mother, Tracey Dawn Isom, and his paternal grandfather, Julio Charlons Sr., had died.

Matthew was raised and trained in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School. After high school, he attended Vatterott College in Kansas City, where he received his associate arts degree. He currently worked in the deli at Walmart in Richmond. Matthew liked to travel; He was always on the move. He loved animals, especially his two dogs and his cat. He liked working with electronics and could fix anything. He was especially fond of his entire family and attended family dinners.

The family suggests making memorial donations for the Wakenda Cemetery. They can be dropped off at, or mailed to, Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street, PO Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.

A memorial tour will take place on Thursday, April 8, 2021, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Private family graves will take place on Friday April 9, 2021 at Wakenda Cemetery north of Hardin.
