Ridgeline International, a custom technology solutions company, is creating 162 new jobs in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va .– (BUSINESS WIRE) – Gov. Ralph Northam announced today that Ridgeline International, Inc., an innovative technology-based solutions provider for the federal government, commercial and nonprofit sectors, is investing $ 1.75 million to expand its business in Fairfax County. The company will increase its capacity to develop bespoke solutions to help its customers implement secure communications and protect themselves from security threats, and create 162 new jobs.

“First and foremost, operating from Fairfax County has given us access to an impressive and ideal pool of talent. This is important for any aspiring startup, especially a startup that focuses on scarce technical talent, ”said Erik Wittreich, CEO of Ridgeline International. “In addition, Fairfax has a thriving economy, professional associations and an overall rich community experience.”

Beginning May 1st, the company will have a total of 55,000 square feet in Tysons, Fairfax County’s largest business district, including a 12,000 square foot demonstration center and research and development center, which is expected to open in June.

“I am very excited about Ridgeline International’s expansion into Fairfax County and thank its leaders for investing here,” said Victor Hoskins, President and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority.

The FCEDA worked with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership to secure the project for Virginia and will support job creation at Ridgeline International through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.

Ridgeline partnered with 100 Black Men from Greater Washington DC, under the direction of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, which the company founded in 2019. In 2020, Ridgeline donated $ 20,000 to the organization, partially funded through employee fundraisers. This partnership will continue in 2021. Additionally, starting with the 2020-21 academic year, Ridgeline set up a scholarship fund that honored three outstanding STEM students with $ 5,000.

“I applaud the growth of Ridgeline International in Tysons, and we are grateful for the investment in the Providence District and Fairfax Counties,” said Dalia A. Palchik, Fairfax County Supervisor. “Ridgeline is a great example of the county’s growing tech ecosystem, and I would like to congratulate the employees and leadership of the company on their emphasis on corporate social responsibility.”
