HOUSTON – The Instagram model is dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Richmond, Fort Bend authorities said on Monday.
The body of 33-year-old Janae Gagnier, better known by her social media name “Miss Mercedes Morr”, was discovered at around 4:30 pm on Sunday in her home in the Cortland Apartments in Block 5200 of Pointe West Circle, police said Richmond in a press release with.
Her Instagram account has 2.6 million followers according to Monday’s count. Followers include some high profile personalities like Megan Thee Stallion and Snoop Dogg.
The body of a man suspected in the murder of Gagnier was also found in the apartment. The identity of this suspect, described as a 30-year-old, will be held pending family notification.
At this point in the investigation, police said they did not believe there was a relationship between the suspect and the victim.

The cause of death for both people is pending autopsy results from the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner.
At that point, the police said that this is considered a murder-suicide. Investigations are currently underway to determine a motive in the case.
