HUNRATH, Robert G., 78, of Mechanicsville, went to see the Lord on Sunday, October 3, 2021. His son Jeffrey Hunrath preceded him in death; and is survived by his 36-year-old wife, Susan Hunrath; four children, Christopher, Barbara, Ann-Marie Hunrath and Jessica Barnard (Glen); six grandchildren, Jamie, Sarah, Blair, Lucas, Amanda, and William; two great-grandchildren, Jersey and Josephine; and his brother Philip Hunrath (Marie). As an active member of the Catholic Church of the Redeemer, Robert was also a third degree and former Grand Knight of the Albert E. Chipman Council, Knights of Columbus. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. The family welcomes friends with a prayer service on Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel at Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. On Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Catholic Church of the Savior, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd, a Christian burial mass was held. The funeral in Signal Hill Memorial Park followed.
