The Richmond Hill Resident is helping the community correct the effects of a pandemic with Self-Care Summit Experience

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – A Richmond Hill resident works to help the community recover from the effects of COVID-19.

LaTonya Stanley created the Self-Care Summit Experience for those who want to learn how to avoid burnout and stress.

The event features health and wellness tips from experts in organization and time management, nutrition and mental health.

“In my self-care journey, I’ve found that it’s not just rainbows and gummy bears,” LaTonya Stanley, founder of Self Care, told WSAV NOW. “Sometimes when we think of self-care we think of the pretty side of it. Everything has changed with the pandemic, and we don’t know what some people have been through. “

“If you find that COVID-19 has changed my life and I have no control over it, where is that for you? You may have had to adjust to work or your children, but what did you do for yourself? “

Participants will have the opportunity to explore different self-care techniques to find out what works best for them. Stanley promises that attendees will use the self-care plan tools to incorporate the techniques into their daily lives.

She says her goal is to research the scars and barriers that prevent men and women from consistently providing for themselves and to give them advice to be successful in any area of life.

“We target self-care with women – makeup, nails, facials, things like that,” Stanley said. “But that’s self-maintenance. Everyone needs self-care. It is especially important for men that they know that there is a point of sale for them too. “

Your event will also include breakfast, sweepstakes, salespeople and a question-and-answer session with the experts.

Stanley’s book “Let’s Talk Self Care” is available for pre-order now

Tickets for Saturday’s event sold out recently, but Stanley will host a similar event in November that will focus on financial literacy and entrepreneurship.

“Where do I stand with entrepreneurship? Where do I stand when buying a house? Business loans, personal loans, things like that, ”Stanley said. “But I’ll take care of myself and this will be called ‘Let’s Talk Business’. We will have various business owners and brokers there to help everyone move into this next stage of life. “
