Tucson FC suffers a severe loss from Richmond

Tucson FC took to the streets against the Richmond Kickers in Virginia on Saturday night and failed 1-0.

The organization faced their former trainer Darren Sawatzky from Richmond. Sawatzky coached FC Tucson in 2019 and went 8-11-9.

Tucson FC (4-6-4, 16 points) have lost two games in a row. Richmond (5-5-5, 20 points) took three points with the win.

The Men In Black will try to get back on track against North Texas FC at the North Stadium on Saturday. The game starts at 7pm. North Texas FC (4-5-4) are tied with FC Tucson at 16 points in the table.

In last place is North Carolina FC (2-7-3) just behind FC Tucson and North Texas FC with nine points.

The only goal on Saturday night against Tucson FC came from an 18th-minute penalty from Richmonds Emiliano Terzaghi.

Goals were difficult to score despite the coach Jon Pearlmans Call for more insult.

Tucson FC scored 30 times in the game, eight of them on goal.

The Kickers remained conservative for the remainder of the game, shooting only nine times in total. Wallis Lapsley had to save a shot.

Charlie Dennis of FC Tucson almost equalized with a few shots in the 64th minute. Max Schenfield also had a chance to score, but failed on the crossbar.

The game on Saturday in the Kino North Stadium is the Teacher Appreciation Night, during which schools can claim up to 25 percent of the ticket income. Partner schools receive a special ticket link where $ 5 of every $ 15 ticket sold is refunded to the school.
